Coins with potential collectible value are reviewed for date, mintmark, grade, rarity, and certification before being valued only for their metal content.
When jewelry may have value beyond gold weight because of its maker, craftsmanship, diamonds, or estate appeal, we consider that as well. The goal is a fair, well-informed evaluation rather than a rushed scrap calculation.
